The brazzers vault sex language teacher, at all events, can scarcely regard it as part of his job to teach people what intentions they should have and wish to express, what messages they should formulate. His job is to make it possible for them to express their intentions and give their messages. He doesn't teach them what they ought to say but how they are to say it. But he does work on the brazzers vault principle that what they want to say can be said in the target language. In between the extremes of the three-tier hierarchy are performance processes which, at least, provisionally we may accept as specifically linguistic: the recognition of sounds and whole words by matching with a stored schema, the heuristic processes of identifying sentences and planning their execution with the concomitant processes of pre­diction and monitoring and some part of the process of ideation and understanding.

All these go to make up the general skill which has been called communicative competence. The learning of these skills is the central task of the infant acquiring his mother tongue. The task of the language teacher is the teaching of an alternative set of schemata, of rules of formation and rules of discourse.
